Pitch Contest

I'm entering a pitch contest on the Beyond Words blog. Unfortunately, I have no followers. I like to think of this blog as an embryo. Babies aren't cute until they're born. Mine is still in the ugly alien phase so I haven't told anyone about it yet.

Oh and the contact saga has ended. We ordered glasses.

Oldest Son + shopping trip = Oooh donuts! Chips! Cookies! Ice cream!

the contact saga: day...i forget

Oldest Son still hasn't managed to get his contacts in. I'm giving him one week and then I'm ordering contacts.
Oldest Son is playing a racing game with his friends. For some reason they never actually race. They all try to be the first to total their car. Does this worry me? Yes. Oldest son is 12. He'll be driving real cars in 4 years. His friends will start driving then too. The thought is terrifying.

The contact saga

So Oldest Child still hasn't managed to get the contacts in his eye. I told him to practice putting his finger in his eye and gently touching the whites of his eyes. He got in the shower and I heard the water turn off. Then I heard the screaming. He poked himself in the eye. I think he missed the gently part of my suggestion. This week he's off on a scout trip so the saga will continue next week.

The first blog

I keep thinking I've come up with something brilliant to blog but then one of my kids comes out to tell me stuff - I can't get my contact in my eye, I'm hungry, etc. My oldest asked me what I'm doing. I told him that I'm trying to start a new blog but I can't because people keep talking to me. He asked who was talking to me. So I believe I'll keep my posts short until after school starts.
Yesterday was day one for my oldest's contacts. They put his contact in for him at the office. It took him a half an hour to get them out. Today he's trying to put them in. It's a good thing we're in the middle of summer because at this rate he'd never get to school.
